The Early Years
In July of 1998, we launched a company called “Extream Media” (such a ’90’s name). It was mainly a design house, riding the wave of the dotcom explosion. During this time, we worked with numerous labels, publishers and other clients to help them accomplish their creative marketing needs.
Cut our Teeth
In January 2002, owner Kyle Chowning, left Nashville to help launch and lead RELEVANT Media Group, an publishing and media company aimed at the 18-34 demographic, in Orlando, Fla. During my time there he helped launch RELEVANT magazine, RELEVANT Books and several other divisions that now comprise the RELEVANT family. While enjoying his tenure he gained extensive experience in the book and magazine publishing industries. In just over four years he was responsible for the sales and marketing of three print publications, over 50 RELEVANT book releases and the ever growing and popular, www.RELEVANTmagazine.com. There, he had the privilege of launching three publications from the ground up. This experience thrust his ability to creatively market and publicize books, magazines and websites to the 18-34 demographic on budgets that ranged from $2000 to $50,000. Creative, viral and guerrilla style marketing wasn’t an option, it was required.
Motiveight
In July of 2006, he stepped out of his tenure at RELEVANT to re-launch Extreme Media as Motiveight Marketing Group; an agency focused on helping brands make meaningful and profitable connections with Generation X and The Millennials. While our tools are creatively endless, we primarily focus on employing digital, social and internet-based marketing methods.
